Objective: Students will solve problems using estimation and basic operations. Students will learn about the use of saskatoons by early settlers.
Lesson: Introduction: Walk to see saskatoon bushes and share the saskatoon interpretive sign. Discuss how saskatoons have been used by the Indigenous and early settlers.
Estimate how many cups of saskatoons we have. (Estime combien d’amélanches on a en tout.) Which form of measurement will be most effective - mass (g) or volume (ml ?)
